The online learning offered by Jamia Millia Islamia provides opportunities for higher education to individuals with time constraints who would otherwise be unable to access conventional education. The Centre also provides an Urdu Proficiency Course, formerly known as the Urdu Correspondence Course, which teaches Urdu through distance learning.
The Open Learning System enables learners to determine their own learning environment and provides education at their doorstep. The mode of transaction is through self-learning print material, supplemented by audio and video programmes, as well as face-to-face counselling sessions and contact programmes. Efforts are currently underway to arrange Self-Learning Material (SLM) online.
